Can you imagine growing up on a tour bus and not becoming a DJ?! mica (Micah Sullivan) is a musician who brings unique, eclectic sounds that subvert expectations, while he also plays with familiarity to create a musical experience everyone can identify with. mica’s childhood was spent playing drums in a family band and touring North America on the road. His percussive inclination and blend of influences direct his style from Disco to Latin, Afro, Gospel, Soul, break beats and House classics.

Inspired by legends such as Victor Calderone, Chus & Ceballos, Danny Tenaglia and DJ Vibe, Maxvei honed his skills and developed his own sound.

Raised by dancing hippies, SIMBASŌL was dancing when he learned to walk. He grew up around the campfire with djembes and harmonicas, and he was exposed to a music-induced lifestyle that later became his passion.

Hailing from Montreal, AliK2 (Ali Amin), has been honing his craft for just over 4 years. He first fell in love with electronic music at the age of 18 listening to techno and trance by tracks like Tiesto’s Traffic, Adagio for Strings, and Forever Today that really left a lasting mark. This music led him to attend his first festival nearly 12 years ago at the age of 18, Global Gathering, where he saw a number of big names in person.

After you walk through a long, catacomb cobblestone tunnel, you’ll walk into an intimate and stylish club with an impressive sound and light system. Velvet prides itself for creating a close, sweaty vibe with a mixture of techno, house, electro, and pop music. The building that houses Velvet, the historic Auberge Saint-Gabriel, has been around since 1754. It is one of the oldest buildings in Montreal, and you’ll definitely feel the history as you descend into the catacomb-inspired club.
