For this rendition of ELEVATE, we are bookimg two new rising DJs to perform on the main stage at Atmos Fest, a major music festival in Tingwick, Quebec (Canada) from July 28–30. Thank you! We want to thank everyone that came to Tune-Up #1 at the Sanctuary this past Saturday (March 11th, 2023). Kolophane warmed up the stage and set the mood to a positive high for the rest of the night. Gio-Z delivered a strong performance with highly original tracks. 6RAJ played a set of almost entirely original music, which the crowd clearly loved. I attended a Burning Sun event for the first time this weekend, hosted by @floral_nights at Abreuvoir’s heated terrasse. The event gets an A+ for the friendly and beautiful crowd, excellent music, and the decorated venue. The title, “Burning Sun” was apt—it felt like I was transported back to summer (in the middle of the winter!). In this review, I’ll discuss my experience, focusing on some of the music that stood out to me along with some of the DJ techniques I observed. Read More

It’s hard to beat Datcha on a Friday night. With Forrest on the decks, it was little surprise that the line to get in wrapped around the building. Forrest is a versatile DJ. He knows that his audiences will expect to hear some well known dance tracks, but he is also willing to play tracks that might be less familiar for most. The first Sanctuary event of 2023 was a tremendous way to start the year! Shelton Cooper warmed up the beautiful and hard-hitting speakers to start the night from 10–12 midnight. His set featured tracks that mixed modern production with the sounds of flutes, hand drums, and more. Thereafter, Jares hit the decks with a set inspired by music from Berlin-based labels from midnight to 2am. By this time, the intimate Sanctuary was packed with a smiling crowd. Read More
